The Yes4u! performs intermediation and provides its customers with the possibility of contracting essential services, such as cleaning, personal care, pet care and others.
The initial idea of offering these services through a website was very interesting, especially with business bootstrap. Having, then, the future possibility of expansion and approach with other types of media.
To satisfy the demands of this project, was necessary to use customized resources in addition to the resources commonly used to deliver sales functionality over the Internet. I could highlight some features:
Under my responsibility in this project were all the configurations related to WooCommerce, products and payments integrations.
As usual, I was also responsible for all “out of the box” customizations, such as communication management, which included the delivery of a specially developed plugin to forward SMS messages immediately when a new service ticket became available. So the associates could make the link and compete for the services. This kind of functionality had a redundancy and could be used either integrated with AWS services or any other provider.
The scheduling process also provided good challenges to automate schedule availability calculations among all associates offering the same service and book appointments during the checkout process. Other treatments such as return, withdrawal and tipping processes also deserve a mention.
After being implemented in Brazil, I adapted the project to be launched in Portugal as well.
