Even though “peƧascaminhoesrtrucks” closed down during the pandemic period, they used to be a well-known truck parts distributor that served customers and resellers throughout the national territory.

What
were the
requirements
?
Three needs were evidently decisive for the existence of this project, making them stand out from the other requirements of a common online store. Would they be:
- Integrate orders, inventory and customers to the company’s ERP system;
- Enable the use of the existing self credit system for online sales;
- Direct integration to the carrier’s system, to realize the previous delivery values;
What was accomplished?
In this work I used WooCommerce to deliver the functionalities foreseen for a virtual store and I took advantage of WordPress to compose a layout combined with graphic material that the client was already using.
However, some more extravagant customizations were necessary to meet the customer’s requirements. I developed a plugin with a new payment gateway according to WooCommerce documentation in order to meet the way the self credit rules works, its approval rules and order limits. In addition to this, I had to develop another plugin to create direct integration with the carrier that maintained a direct contract with the ecommerce owner.
